The India of Gods!

This is a country with Gods galore
Millions counted & wait - there are some more
Its only Infinity we'll bow before
In-front of Him we shamelessly implore 

India is a country

☼ Where there are 330 million Gods.
The 1 billion figure doesn't look huge now?
We are a superpower. We have more Gods than the population of the US.

☼ Where each of the Gods come in a different magnitude.
I've heard you can see Him in a rock. Can we?
No, you have to go to a temple mile's' away.

☼ Where the Gods are bribed.
Quality of work done by Him directly varies with your offerings.

☼ Where luck & health is bought for Rs. 11.
We have people more qualified than the doctors to treat you.

☼ Where the Gods are more for the rich, less for the poor.
Less said, the better.

You think of times that are yet to come
'Future' looks gloomy and your hands go numb.
You try but cant live in the present no more
Sanity in you, you wish, could someone pour.

Life... Well, Almost!

All day I was filling up forms and getting irritated big time with the sheer amount of paperwork. And all the time I was just making up the following lines. I don't think I am putting them down exactly as I had thought and there is not all of it out here for sure.

In life
reach your goals, the destination
but never lose the Way.

In life
exists hatred, exists envy
lets try and keep it at Bay.

In life
find colors of love, of compassion
in those shades of Grey.

In life
stay true to yourself and the one
come what May.

In life
there are people, but respect the ones
who forever Stay.

In life
there is a tomorrow
but it starts Today.

Recently I followed a link posted by Romit, one of my college buddies, on Facebook. It hyperlinked to The Boston Globe's online photoblog The Big Picture.

Being a photo enthusiast, I was stunned looking at some of the picture albums out here. After seeing my first album on the festival Diwali, I knew I had to check out as many albums as possible that day. Yes, it was a Sunday. I checked around 10 from the archives and man o man it was a Sunday well spent.
